Highland Bow & Arrow will take your journey around the Cabot Trail to the next level! One minute you are hiking and ziplining through the trees, the next you are shooting arrows in the woods under mountains millions of years old. How cool is that?
It is VERY cool. I can tell you as someone who lives here! Not only is shooting arrows one of the coolest, most stress-relieving activities ever, you get to do it surrounded by Cape Breton nature. On the range you have the sunshine, birds, and the roar of the north shore in the distance. In the woods you are lost in the magic of the Highlands wilderness. See more about shooting in a group on my 3D woods trail.
Highland Bow offers instruction of traditional archery (recurve and longbow). It may spark a slight obsession with the sport! If so, join my annual tournament and check out monthly events to get out and shoot.
Sessions at Highland Bow are an hour long and begin with a lesson in traditional archery. Recurve and longbows are the focus of this intuitive practice. I work with individuals, couples, groups and parties. You can see prices and more information here.
Highland Bow has also formed a network of female archers, varying in age and experience, called Lady Archers Club. This club is focused on bringing women into the sport, encouraging them through practice and giving them opportunities to form an independent relationship with the outdoors and archery. Learn the skills to own and maintain your own bow, and how to operate comfortably to do so outdoors. Learn more about the registration process here.
I recommend calling, texting or emailing ahead of time to book a slot as there may be a wait or the potential that I am booked all day with appointments.
